Hooded Crow. Corvus cornix. Κοράζινος, Κόρωνος.

The Hooded Crow is a very common crow in Cyprus, found at all altitudes and closely related to human presence. Absent only in the forests, but present around villages in the forest. It is a resident breeder, considered by many as a pest and actually allowed to be hunted though its meat is inedible, as a control of its numbers. Nevertheless a very successful bird, even in the most urban areas.

Greenshank. Tringa nebularia . Πρασινοσκέλης, Στακτονεραλλίδα.

The Greenshank (Tringa nebularia)  is mainly a spring passage migrant through Cyprus, less in autumn. Rare in winter though there are records for every month.

Sandwich Tern. Thalasseus sandvicensis. Χειμωνογλάρονο.

The Sandwich Tern is an uncommon winter visitor to Cyprus and pasage migrant at favoured localities mostly on the south coast.
