Coal Tit (Periparus ater cypriotes). Πέμπετσος (Ελατοπαπαδίτσα - υποείδος της Κύπρου).

The endemic subspecies cypriotes occurs in Cyprus. It is a common breeding resident found only in the pine forests.

Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius glaszneri) . Ευρωπαϊκή Κίσσα.

The endemic race glaszneri occurs in Cyprus. It is a common breeding resident of the forest, mostly above 900m.

Common Chaffinch. Κοινός Σπίνος

The Common Chaffinch is a common breeding resident of the forest and orchards of the Troodos mountain range, in the Akrotiri eucalyprus forest and locally elsewhere. Large numbers of migrants occur on lower ground in mixed finch flocks in winter.

Eurasian Penduline Tit (Remiz pendulinus. Υφάντρα.

The Eurasian Penduline Tit is an annual winter visitor to Cyprus and passage migrant to the island's reed-beds in small numbers. There is some possibility that on the past this species had bred in Cyprus.

Common Kestrel, Falco tinnunculus. Κίτσης, Βραχοκιρκίνεζο.

In Cyprus this is a common breeding resident and a regular passage migrant. It can be seen all over the island, from sea level up to the highest mountains, and is very successful in urban areas as well.

Ελλάδα: Αμπελουργός

This beautiful bunting species visits Cyprus in late spring, and breeds on sites mostly on the lower hillsides of the Troodos range, as well as on the Karpasia peninsula.
Birds leave Cyprus by the end of August.
